Usually, it should be possible to switch the language between German and English while abroad.
If this does not work, you can try to solve the problem by activating a German VPN. Often, a free VPN is integrated into the password manager or the virus scanner.
If you start your subscription via the App Store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store), you usually have a 7-day trial period before the subscription switches to paid mode. So you could check to see if you can then change the language via the settings (click profile picture below, then the settings wheel icon).
IMPORTANT NOTE: Please be aware that the subscription will automatically change to a paid subscription after 7 days. You will then be charged automatically by the App Store. In order to avoid that, the cancellation needs to happen within the period via the App Store (we have no access to their contract data here).
